WARHAMMER 40K SPACE MARINE UPGRADE

Slamming down onto the deckplates of gaming with all the fury and power of a thunder hammer, Warhammer 40k: Space Marine released all the way back in 2011 and showed the world what a game featuring a space marine should be like. I can't give any review to the multi-player because I didn't played it yet, I rather enjoy a single-player campaign with a good story than multi-player but maybe I'm gonna give it a try sometime. But then there’s Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. You get also quiet a lot of different enemies from the very weak you can kill in one shot to the tank that smashes you to death in 3-4 attacks. It actually gets pretty challenging when you get almost an endless horde of enemies storming at you, it's a hack and slash but you can die easily sometimes if you don't shoot some other more dangerous enemies first.

You actually also feel some progress with every new weapon and upgrade and don't feel like you get some useless junk you're never going to use. Along with a great story you get a combat system with a lot of action, you have a lot of weapons to choose from and every weapon has some pro's and con's so you need to choose what fits you the most. You really get into the story and how the Warhammer world feels and you really get into your character you play. I played so many games in my life, from Final Fantasy to Amnesia, so I can say that this game has a really solid story better than most of the games that came out in 2011/2012. In short, if you are looking for a fun third-person-shooter that is not your typical fanfare, W40K:SM is a viable alternative that will likely have you looking forward to the next wave of Orks.

In fact, it is quite the opposite, the player is presented with a myriad of possible attack scenarios that do not (have to) include using melee weapons at all. A common concern with 'hack n slash' titles is for the game to devolve into a thoughtless, repetitive slash fest However, I have found this not to be the case with W40K:SM. Lead the Sons of Russ into battle and slash your way through hordes of ferocious enemies with Boltgun fire and Chainsword teeth. The game itself runs smoothly and is polished enough (especially at 2560x1600) to provide the eyes with some pleasing visuals. After spending some time with the game, it's apparent that Relic spent the appropriate amount of time to successfully implement the combat system (range/melee) and included enough weapons/combination attacks to keep mindless button mashing to a minimum. After spending some time with the game, it's Warhammer 40K: Space Marine is a refreshing change and welcome addition to my gaming library.
